Singinawa - Kanha

Singinawa
means protectors of the sacred forest". This Jungle
Lodge is managed by Nanda and Latika Rana who work closely with
the local communities on conservation, protection and social
development. Nanda is from the Royal Rana family of Nepal and
has spent over 20 years studying tigers in the forests of Madhya
Pradesh. He was appointed as a special consultant for their
projects on the tiger for the year of the tiger in 1998 by National
Geographic. He has also made films for the BBC and Discovery
Channels on the tiger. Latika is a wildlife biologist with a
D.Phil. on Tiger Conservation and Management from the University
of Oxford and the first ever woman to be awarded a doctorate
on tiger conservation and management.
