philosophy involves realizing unity with nature and recognizing
divinity within the self. The Jiva Spa is Green Leaf certified
by the Tourism Director of Kerala, which is the highest grade
of certification for Ayurveda in the tourism industry. This
ensures that the Spa has a qualified Ayurvedic Doctor ("Vaidya")
and the trained therapists, who use medicines from a GMP (Goods
Manufacturers Product) certified company. The Ayurveda Doctor
and Therapists are trained under Ayurveda Masters and offer
authentic, time-honoured traditional therapies to bring about
harmony and balance. The Ayurveda Doctor consultation on Life
Style Awareness and balance draws upon the wisdom of the ancient
science and philosophy of India.
Abhyangam (45 minutes) : The application of medicated oil
on the head and body promotes strength, sleep, growth, and firmness
of hair. It improves blood circulation, the skin, and complexion.
This is followed by a three-minute steam and a warm water shower
with an herbal scrub.
Dinacharya (45 minutes) :This is a unique lifestyle therapy
which aims at ageing gracefully. The program includes an oil
application and a cleansing therapy for the five sense organs
- Anjana (for eyes), Nasya (for nose), Karnapoorana (for ears),
Kavalam (for mouth) and Dantdhavanan (for oral cavity). The
experience gives a unique feeling of freshness and total cleanliness
and a new spark of energy for the rest of the day.
