Dupliex was originally 18th century colonial villa built for
the local “Mairie”, which has now been fully restored
to provide the only luxury boutique hotel in the heart of the
old town. It showcases the life of the 18th century French Governor
Marquis Joseph-Francois Dupleix and offers a fun fusion between
the rich, colonial heritage and a contemporary flavour. Each
of the 14 rooms is unique and surrounds a central courtyard
with its gourmet restaurant where a delicious range of Indian
and French cuisine is served under a shady mango tree. The bar
is fast becoming a favourite and boasts an international wine
list as well as a wide choice of cocktails.
